Furnishings and Equipment
Properties in the MCR's Rental program are required to adhere to a
minimum furnishing list. All of our homes and condos provide the following
amenities (unless otherwise noted in the property description).

Accommodations
McLean Company Rentals (MCR) represents many of the finest condominiums,
private homes and estates in the desert. Individually owned, each (MCR)
property reflects the tastes of its owners.
Each is equipped with basic housekeeping items and complies with MCR's
Minimum Furnishings Requirements (see Furnishings & Equipment).
Every effort has been made to assure that our descriptions of each
property are accurate, however, MCR cannot be held responsible for
possible errors in printing, changes made by owners in furnishings
or equipment, or matters that are beyond our control.
Our properties are well maintained and clean, however, just like your
own home, unexpected breakdowns can occur. All efforts will be made
to correct any problems you might experience in a timely manner, however,
refunds cannot be made due to mechanical failure of equipment.
Reservations
Whether it's on the phone, on the web or in person, we make it easy for you to book your vacation rental.
Browse through our properties and find several that you feel will suit your needs. Once you've made your choices you may view, check availability and then reserve your property right on line.
If you prefer to make your reservation by telephone, please call us during regular business hours on our Reservation Hotline (800) 777-4606 to confirm the availability of your selection and to secure a reservation. This toll free hotline is a dedicated reservations only number. You may also email your reservation requests to us at ps4rent@aol.com.
Reservations can also be made in person at our office in Palm Springs at 477 S. Palm Canyon Drive. Our office is open from 8:30 A. M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday thru Friday and 10A.M. to 2 P.M. on Saturday. We are closed Sundays and most holidays.
Please designate one person in your party to be responsible for all correspondence and payments regarding your reservation and arrival plans. This person is responsible for all payment and responsibilities spelled out in the rental agreement.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required on all reservations and is payable as part of the total balance. This deposit protects the owners from any material damage done to the rental property. You'll find the security
deposit amounts listed below each unit's description.
Please report to our office any damages upon check in. Once you've checked out our inspectors will ensure that the property has been left in proper order, clean and damage free. Any damages discovered shall be deducted from the security deposit. Guest is responsible and shall promptly pay for all damages in excess of the security deposit. If no damage is discovered security deposits will be mailed back 30 days after departure. Rentals one month or longer in properties having private pools, security deposits will be returned 45 days after departure.
MCR may also charge an "Excessive Cleaning" fee if guest has not followed check-out procedures and left the rental property in clean and good order, or has left lights, heat and or air on.
Deposits and Payments
After your reservation has been made, we will send you a Reservation Confirmation. Please review this form to verify that all of your information and arrival/departure dates are correct. An Occupancy Agreement will also sent to you at this time. Please fill it out completely and return it to our office.
A deposit equal to 50% of the total rental rate, cleaning fee, security deposit and city tax (If Applicable), is due within 10 days of making your reservation. If your payment is not received by our office within 10 days, your reservation may be cancelled without further notice. Checks must be in U.S. funds and hould be made payable to
McLean Company Rentals.
Upon receipt of your initial deposit a Deposit Received Confirmation will be sent to you confirming payment received and indicating your balance remaining. The balance of your reservation will be due 14 days prior to your arrival.
For last minute reservations, or any reservation made within 30 days of your arrival, payment in full is required. Payment must be made by guaranteed funds; Visa, Master or Discovery Card, cashiers check or money order. Personal checks cannot be accepted.
Credit Cards
The prices quoted on the telephone, or on our web site are payments sent to us by mail, or made in person. If you elect to pay by credit card (Visa, Master, or Discover Card) a non-refundable convenience fee of 3% will be charged to accommodate this convenience.
When paying by credit card the person named on the reservation must also be the person whose name appears on the credit card. A picture I.D. will also be required.
Returned Checks
There is a $20 service charge for any check that is returned unpaid from the bank. Payment and service charge must be paid immediately or reservation is automatically cancelled.
Substitutions
While every effort is made to accommodate guests in the specific property requested, change in ownership, damage or malfunction may cause that property to be unavailable. We will contact you as soon as possible and shall make every attempt to find suitable alternative accommodations for the same period .
If a suitable substitute property cannot be procured , MCR's sole liability shall be to provide a full refund of all monies already paid.
Cancellations & Refunds
In the event that you must cancel your reservation, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
If written notice is received 30 days prior to your arrival date, refunds of advanced payments will be
refunded, less a $ 75 cancellation fee.
If cancellation occurs within 30 days of your arrival date, any refund is subject to the ability to re-rent the property. Every effort will be made to re-rent the property. However, if the property is not re-rented,
NO MONEY WILL REFUNDED. If the property is re-rented, all monies received, less a $75 cancellation fee will be refunded. NO CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED IN THE CASE OF EARLY
DEPARTURE.
Errors & Omissions
Every effort has been made to provide accurate and complete information on this Website; however, we are not responsible for possible printing errors, omissions, changes in furnishings or equipment by
Homeowners, or matters that are beyond our control.
If you have any particular requirements or personal needs, we suggest that you speak directly with one of our reservation agents.
Bed Tax
Rentals of less than 28 nights are subject to a transient occupancy tax of 9% or 10%, depending upon property location.
Check-In/Check-Out
Check-In time is between 2:00pm and 5:00pm at our Palm Springs office.
Do not go to the Rental Property at check in. You will receive two
set of keys, gate cards, garage door openers, where applicable, an
occupancy agreement that you will be asked to fill out, Rental Agreement
and map to your rental property.
Check-Out is no later than 10:00am sharp on your date of departure.
Keys and other items need to be returned to the same office that you
checked in at.
If you leave prior to our office opening, please drop keys and any
other items through the mail slot in our front door.
A fee of $10 for each key and $50 for gate cards/garage door openers
not returned will be deducted from your deposit.
Early Check-In
During the prime rental season, it is impossible in most cases to
grant early check-in requests. Because of the large number of properties
and the distance between them, our housekeeping staff needs every minute
of the 10:00am to 2:00pm window to ensure the cleanliness of your vacation
property.
Please don't interfere with them or pressure the office to allow early
entry. It's a large job and everyone does their best to get you into
a clean and inviting home. We will make every effort to insure that
your property is ready for occupancy between 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
Late Check-In
If you expect to arrive after office closing, Sunday or Holiday, please
call ahead to receive instructions on retrieving your check-in packet
from our outdoor lock box.
Please remember, keys will not be left out, unless your balance has
been received in full.
Miscellaneous Rules and Policies
Housekeeping and Maintenance
Our properties are inspected and cleaned after each guest. If the
home is not cleaned to your satisfaction when you arrive or if something
is not working properly, please call the office to report the problem.
We will try to correct the situation immediately. Additional maid service
is available during your stay. We'd be happy to arrange it for you.
The cost is very reasonable.
Telephones
Every property in our rentals program is equipped with a telephone and the phone number is printed on your confirmation, Owners graciously furnish telephones for your convenience and safety. The phones have a long distance block in place that prevents any long distance calls. Any long distance calls should be charged to your calling card or made by cellular phone If a toll call appears on the owner's phone bill for the dates you were in the property, the amount of the calls and a $20 service fee will be deducted from your security deposit.
Pets
Some of our homeowners will allow pets. Be sure and ask about these properties when you speak with a Reservation Agent or search for our Pet Friendly properties here on our website. There is a minimum
nonrefundable Pet Fee of $50. Some property owners may require an increased damage security
deposit also.
Non compliance to pet restrictions are grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
No Smoking
Most of our properties are non smoking premises. If you wish a property
that permits smoking, you must make that request. Any guest violating
the owner's no smoking rule may cause all guest to be evicted with
forfeiture of all monies paid. Smoking includes cigarettes, cigars,
pipes, etc. If our inspection staff detects, at departure, the presence
of smoke in a non smoking unit, the full security deposit may be forfeited.
Occupancy
Our rental rates are based upon two persons per bedroom. Children
are counted in total occupancy unless they are under the age of two.
Over occupancy is considered a serious violation of your lease, and
we reserve the right to deny access or to have the premises vacated
with no refund of monies.
Parking
Parking areas are for automobiles only. RV's, travel trailers, boat
trailers, etc. are not permitted.
Lost and Found
If you leave something behind, call our office immediately. We will make every effort to locate the item and return it to you. Postage costs and a $25 service charge will be charged against your Security Deposit. Lost items will be held for two weeks; after that time, all unclaimed items will be donated to a charitable organization. MCR is not responsible for any lost items that we're unable to locate.
Liability
This rental program is under management of MCR who acts only as an agent for the owners. All properties are privately owned; management will not be responsible for any accidents or injury to guests or loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind.
Repairs and Maintenance
We cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, appliances, TV's/VCR's/DVD Players, stereo equipment or pools/spas. MCR is not responsible for any circumstances beyond our control, such as disturbances on nearby properties, construction noise, or acts of nature. Please report any inoperative equipment to our office promptly. We will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. NO REFUNDS OR RENT REDUCTIONS WILL BE MADE DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS, EARLY DEPARTURE, INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES, MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS OR CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA.
Private Pools & Spas
All of our homes and some of our condos feature private pools and spas. Pools and spas are chemically serviced and cleaned regularly. All of our pools are heated during the winter for guests use and enjoyment. Thermostats are typically set at 82 degrees Fahrenheit. However, temperatures may vary and degree of warmth cannot be guaranteed. Tampering with the thermostat to increase the temperature beyond 82 degrees will result in an
additional charge of $50 per day and will be deducted from security deposit.
Owners Closets
Many of our properties have locked owner's closets or cupboards for the homeowner's personal items
to be stored. Please do not try to force them open. Any damage or content loss will be deducted from your security deposit.
Families Only
Our Policy and Agreement with our homeowners is to rent to family
groups only. We do not rent to fraternities, sororities or other non-family
or unrelated groups or persons less than 25 years of age. We reserve
to right to require official picture identification showing date of
birth.
