Payment Information

After your reservation has been made, we will send you a Reservation Confirmation. Please review this form to verify that all of your information and arrival/departure dates are correct. An Occupancy Agreement will also be sent to you at this time. Please be sure to fill it out completely and return it to our office.

A deposit equal to 50% of the total rental rate, including cleaning fee, security deposit and city tax (If applicable), is due within 10 days of making your reservation. If your payment is not received in our office within 10 days, your reservation may be canceled without further notice. Checks must be in U.S. funds and should be made payable to McLean Company Rentals.

Upon receipt of your initial deposit, a Deposit Received Confirmation will be sent to you confirming the payment received, and indicating the remaining balance. And, the remaining balance will be due for payment within 14 days prior to your arrival.

For last minute reservations, or any reservation made within 30 days prior to arrival, payment in full is required. Payment must be made by guaranteed funds; Visa, Master or Discovery Card, cashiers check or money order. Personal checks cannot be accepted.

Credit Cards

Prices posted on our web site or quoted over the telephone are discounted rates for those who wish to pay by cash or means not involving a credit card. If you elect to pay by credit card (we accept Visa, Master, or Discover Card) a non-refundable convenience fee of 3% will be charged to accommodate this service.

When paying by credit card, the name of the person mentioned in the reservation, must also be the name that appears on the credit card. Only one credit card may be used. A picture I.D. will also be required.

Due to exchange rates, we cannot accept Canadian Credit Card payments drawn against Canadian Banks. 

Wire Transfer

We do accept wire transfers. There is a $25.00 per transfer fee for U.S. transactions.  There is a $45.00 per transfer fee for Canada and all other International Banks.  This is the fee that the bank charges. Please add extra that charge to your deposit. When transferring please make sure bank institution shows the following information: Full Name & Reservation Number.  Please call our office for exact wire transfer banking information.

 

Returned Checks

There is a $50 service charge for any check that is returned unpaid from the bank. The amount and service charge must be paid immediately or else the reservation will be automatically canceled.

Substitutions

While every effort is made to accommodate guests in the specific property requested, change in ownership, damage or malfunction may cause that property to be unavailable. We will contact you as soon as possible and shall make every attempt to find suitable alternate accommodations for the same period .

If a suitable substitute property cannot be procured , McLean Company Rentals sole liability shall be to provide a full refund of all monies already received.

Cancellations & Refunds

In the event that you must cancel your reservation, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. If written notice is received 30 days prior to your arrival date, refunds of advanced payments will be refunded, less a $100 cancellation fee. Reservations of one month or greater, cancellation notice must be received 60 days prior to your arrival.

If cancellation occurs within 30 days of your arrival date, or 60 days of your arrival for month or longer reservations, any refund is subject to the ability of McLean Company Rentals to re-rent the property. Every effort will be made to re-rent the property. However, if the property is not re-rented, NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED. If the property is re-rented, all monies received, less a $100 cancellation fee will be refunded. NO CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED IN THE CASE OF EARLY DEPARTURE.

If your reservation also includes the $69.00 deposit waiver, this option is non-refundable.

Vacation Interruption Insurance

To help protect your vacation investment we are pleased to provide you with “The All Seasons Travel Plan” provided by Travel Guard®.  This plan includes coverage for severe weather, medical emergencies, trip delays, baggage loss or delay, car rental coverage and cancellation or interruption coverage for a variety of covered reasons. Our Reservation Professionals can provide you with more details. Questions may also be directed to Travel Guard at 1(877)249-5376.  The cost of Trip Insurance is indicated on your rental agreement and is due with your advance payment. For details, please read the brochure outlining the benefits, exclusions and limitations or call the toll free number on the brochure for any questions. We highly recommend this coverage to protect your vacation investment, especially for those of you staying for a month or longer.. The cost of Trip Insurance is included in your rental rate and is due and payable with your advance payment. If you elect not to accept Trip Insurance you may opt out and the amount will be deducted from your reservation.

Security Deposit Waiver

For your convenience you have the option of $69 Accidental Rental Damage Insurance offered through Travel Guard. Accidental Rental Damage Insurance covers up to $3,000 if the property or its contents are damaged during the guests stay, subject to plan terms and conditions.   This insurance is non-refundable.  In the event of cancellation, your deposit waiver can not be refunded.

Every effort has been made to provide accurate and complete information on this website; however, we are not responsible for printing errors, omissions, in-0perative appliances or changes in furnishings or equipment by homeowners, or other matters that are beyond our control. If you have any particular requirements or personal needs, we suggest that you speak directly with one of our reservation agents to see if they can assist you.

Bed Tax

Rentals of less than 28 nights are subject to a transient occupancy tax of 9%,10%, or 11.5% depending upon property location. The City of Palm Springs also imposes the 11.5% tax on the cleaning fee.

Palm Springs: 11.50% for all reservations 28 days or less
Cathedral City: 12.00% for all reservations 30 days or less
Rancho-Mirage: 10.00% for all reservations 30 days or less
Palm Desert: 9.00% for all reservations 31 days or less
