    The Music Man tells the story of traveling salesman, Harold Hill, and his visit to a small Iowa town in 1912 where he meets and falls in love with the willful, spinster librarian, Marian Paroo. With his fast-talking style, "Professor" Harold Hill convinces the town that unless they adopt his revolutionary music program, the youngsters of River City will be forever doomed.

 

 

The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife

Del Shores’ 2003 play explores the hidden emotions, shame, and secrecy of battered women, while also offering hope, healing, and truth. A delicate blend of frightened humor and pain, the three act play delves right into the heart of abuse. From hysterical highs, to the depths of tragic lows, the play sweeps the emotional spectrum. Shores draws the audience into the fire, allowing them to experience the emotion from all sides. the abuser, the abused, and the powerless bystander.

    Charles Dickens’ touching tale of an orphan boy who runs away from the orphanage and tries to pick a pocket or two for Fagin, but gets caught. As Fagin tries to save him, all Oliver wants to do is go to his uncle, and live a good life.

    Young men and women filled with anxiety and hope audition for the chorus line of a Broadway show. By the time the audition is over, they are no longer a collection of anonymous bodies and eager smiles; they are individuals, each with a desperate past and tenuous future.

 

Gypsy

    Mama Rose is determined to escape from a life of paying rent by pushing the career of her younger daughter June. After June elopes, Mama focuses all her attention on her older, less talented daughter, Loise, who eventually becomes a burlesque stripper named Gypsy Rose Lee and Mama realizes she is no longer needed in her daughter’s career.

    Based on a story by Ferenc Molnar, the story starts in 1873 in a small New England village. There is a "love affair between Billy Bigelow, a travelling carnival man, and Julie Jordan, a local factory worker. Desperate for money after learning that he is soon to become a father, Billy is killed during an attempted robbery. Several years later, when he is allowed to return to earth for a short time, he seeks out the daughter of his union with Julie.

 

 

Miss Saigon

    Based on Puccini’s opera, Madame Butterfly, this epic production centers on the romance between a strong-willed Vietnamese woman and an American soldier during the Vietnam War.
