the other eight surrounding communities share many things in common,
most notably, a warm and dry desert climate with over 325 days of
sunshine and less than 6 inches of rain per year, more than 80 manicured
golf facilities designed by some of the world's best known architects
and arguably more swimming pools per capita than any other area in
the nation. Add to this mix the vast array of shopping malls and
boutiques available to delight any shopper. An abundance of tennis
courts, a broad variety of fine
dining facilities and, of course, the spectacular vistas and beauty
that the desert offers, it's no wonder that Palm Springs has achieved
a reputation as one of the premier vacation and golf resort areas
in the world.
Ever since the
Hollywood stars first came to Palm Springs in the 1930's, the clean
air and sunshine, just 120 miles from Los Angeles, have made Palm
Springs irresistible to millions of vacationers. And
today, you are the star at this wondrous resort that magically combines
an atmosphere of casual elegance in the midst of some of the world's
most spectacular surroundings.
